Korean President Park Geun-hye met with the CEO of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba at Cheong Wa Dae on Aug. 18.

CEO Jack Ma was in Seoul to discuss ways to scale up Alibaba’s e-trading cooperation with Korean companies.

In the meeting, Park asked for Ma’s expanding support for Korean companies in China seeking business opportunities.

Ma for his part said the increased demand of Korean products in his nation represents a rising business opportunity for both Alibaba and its Korean counterparts.

Meanwhile, this was Ma’s third visit to Seoul in the past four months. His e-commerce enterprise Alibaba, founded in 1999, engages in online and mobile trade through its global marketing channels.
