For the past two years, a U.S. woman named Nicole Pagliaro kept her dry-cleaning ticket, longing for a wedding dress she has never worn that disappeared due to Hurricane Sandy.

In 2012, Pagliaro took her wedding dress to a dry cleaner in Staten Island, New York. The store was damaged by the storm and the dress was lost. But recently she came across the dress at the dry cleaner’s new location shortly before her second wedding anniversary.

“It was a surreal feeling,” Pagliaro said. “You think you lost something and you hold on to hope. I was like, ‘Can I try it on to see if it still fits?’ It was a great feeling.”
