Technology and Samsung are the two words that come to mind the most when people outside Korea think about the country, a recent survey showed.

The survey of citizens of 17 major countries revealed that India and Turkey were the most favorable toward Korea, while Poland, Germany and Egypt had a relatively negative impression.

Other keywords that people related to the nation included “war” and “Psy.”

The survey was conducted in October with aims to devise regional diplomatic strategies and bolster Seoul’s public diplomacy.
