During her interview on MSNBC’s “TODAY Show” with host Matt Lauer, actress Rachel McAdams of “The Notebook” said that it is okay for men to cry because of her popular film.

The lead actress said the film’s male fans constantly tell her how much they love the film. “Men want to confess that they cried and it felt good, and it’s a lovely thing,” she said. “Embrace it.”

Even Matt Lauer admitted to weeping while watching it on flight.

Lately, McAdams starred in the espionage thriller film, “A Most Wanted Man,” which opens in theaters July 25 in the U.S.
