With “Re-imagine!” as our core value and philosophy, the Herald will continue its efforts to be a “Life Beyond Media” brand that plays a vital role in daily lives of people, and proactively develop and implement initiatives that will help the company grow ten-fold within the next 10 years.
For the Herald, “Re-imagine!” means to continually dream and create—it is this core value and philosophy that has enabled us to become a major “Life Beyond Media” brand that responds flexibly to the needs of consumers.
In the course of traveling our “Re-imagine” path, we have strengthened our focus on people and the environment. We make it a priority to reduce our environmental footprint by ensuring our products are eco-friendly, doing our part to create a healthier world in which people can live happier lives. Our extensive media network is a powerful tool for us to spread the importance of environmentalism and humanism to the largest possible audience.
Over the last 60 years, the Herald has continued to grow as an innovative media company. We are the leader in foreign language education in Korea, managing English villages, carrying out Newspapers in Education (NIE) classes, and producing the English-language Korea Herald newspaper and Korea Herald Business daily. As a media company producing differentiated content informed by our “Re-imagine!” philosophy, and one that is pioneering the way for lifelong education, we will continue to do our utmost to be the media brand people trust and turn to in their daily lives.
Starting in 2002, the Herald’s sales and profits have continually grown every year.
Our 60th anniversary will be celebrated in 2013, a time for us to both reflect on our achievements and look ahead to what we can “Re-imagine” in the years to come.
